View Full Version : 3400 upper intake tightening sequence

The Haynes manual I have only covers the 3100 upper plenum sequence which has twice as many bolts as the 3400. Could someone post the proper tightening sequence for the 3400 upper plenum? I searched and couldn't find it in any previous posts.
TIGHTENING: Start on the front middle then across. Then go to the right side, front/ back. Then to the left side, front/ back. You start in the middle so the man seats properly and doesn't warp. Dont torque until all bolts are in there spot. Torque in the same way as above.
Loosening the man bolts would mean you start on the outside bolts and work inward. Remember to always work the bolts directly across from each other.
