Yes, they are the same door.

You have to reduce the size of the outer ring to get it to fit into the hole in the GA fender.

I found one that did not need the outer ring reduced. Let me see if I can dig up where I bought it from.

Here's the item number for the "official" Ford mustang fuel door. You can see the number on the box and a small mustang on the inside of the door but it's hard to see in that picture.

That is one reason I went with the CNC door. No mule on the inside of the door.

I just installed my billet gas door couple of months ago and I have tip for your. The gas door comes with 6 screws. Two of them are long enough but the other 4 are not long enought to reach the back of your gas openning. So I went to a bicycle shop and got 6 stainless screws and works perfect.

Dont cut the black cone that is arround the gas cap. push the cone to the back and hold the cone with the longer screws.

If you have any questions let me know.

I got my screws for 0.25 cents each.

Yeah, its working now for me too.

Looks like I'm going to have to take a closer look at how the stock fuel door is setup so I know what to expect before buying a new one.

Thanks for the link.
