Amen...

Damn, if I'm still working for the dealer in '05???? Mmmm...new GA, new Solstice, damn...life looks good to be a Pontiac dealer when you consider the new '04 GP, Vibe, and dare I say, the new Sunfire doesn't look that bad in person? First one I ever drove that didn't drive like a penalty box!!

Maybe I should stay in car sales :D

According to Lutz, GM has approved the study (Stage 1) of building the Solstice. I think what it would come down to is if GM could price the car affordably to the public. And start doing research as to public opinion. 1000 people might say they would definately buy the car, but of those 1000 how many actually would?? Who's to say?

You know, the Solstice is nice, and all (though not really my style), but what I really like about that article is the mention of training dealers to handle people who probably know more about the vehicle than the salespeople do. That's us, you know, and it's about time they addressed us specifically, I say...

Heard that, I'm in line.

Wish it powered by a V-6 but since the 2.2L Ecotec already has a mile long list of mods you can buy, the 2.2L is fine with me.

I can't wait to see how many of you would be buyers really step-up. The car is really on the way.

I think a 2005 Grand Am would great with the Solstice. I'll just probably use whatever car I have as a down payment, who knows what I'll have by 2005 but I really miss owning a little two seater Pontiac ever since I had to sell my 88 Fiero GT and if they do sell it in the low 20grand range I'll get rid of whatever car I have to get my hands on one.

I personally never said I'd buy. I am still glad to see the ressurection of a performance trend that appeared to have died.

I have to wait about 10 years (unless I get rich) before any 2 seater car could be a realistic consideration for me.

Well we are seeing numbers in the $20,000 but can we count on rediculous dealer mark-ups for the first production run (ie Dodge Viper & PT Cruiser, Nisssan 350Z)?? Until this are determined it's all talk anyway.....I would love to get one, but I am not paying out the nose for it!

I do powertrain mount system development on the future Epsilon Programs Malibu/Grand Am/Saturn LS. Powertrain integration on the new V6 manual. Special project on alternative material application on body structure. These are the generic descriptions of what I am currently working on, I still have the pet projects like the SC powertrain. My official title is Noise and Vibration Integration.
