For all you DRL kit owners.

It seems like I have a short in the kit. I currently have one of the wires unplugged that is causing the problem. If the wire is plugged in and the blower setting is in the off or high setting the dash lights come on and all go off except the odometer and radio stay on.

This all just started happening once I got the car back from the mechanic, he did an LIM repair and installed an 02 sim. If anyone has any ideas on a fix please post up. Thanks

- Chris

Well you could always just take it out and do it the DIY way.
Dont know what else you could really do.

i bought a DRL kit a long time ago, but it needs work. just needs connectors on the ends. I didn't feel like doing it, so it's still upstairs and hasn't moved for a while. Let me know, it comes with instructions... just needs connectors on the ends.

yea. I just did it a couple days ago and its working like a charm. took about 15 minutes to do, and the hardest part was just reaching stuff under the dash

Does anyone still have the drl kit instalation instructions? If so could you possibly scan it, and send it to me. silvergt1@yahoo.com

Im stopping there after work today to pic one up. I like the fact i can turn them on and off when i want. For $25 im just gonna go ahead and buy it. If it was anymore $$ than that then i would do the DIY method.

it looks like a few small pieces of wire and a switch. Toss in a couple wire taps. 10 bucks and you're out the door, for the same thing.

hey, i dont care if you all think they're a rip off...its there for the people that lack the ingenuity to make their own system. :)

and it proves that they are still made for any that lost directions or whatev

Well i pussed out and stopped by zzp after work and bought it. Plus hangin out with Zoomer for a minute is always awsome. You guys should see their shop, its the shiznit, they have GP's all over the place, some stripped, some fully decked out, some fully built for racing, just freakin awsome.

Are you sure its different? Is the kit you got different than what zzp sells? Becuase i didnt have any options of years, its just 99-05. Says it right on the package 99-05.

I will keep you updated on what happens, im putting it in tonight.
