Ok, this has been happening for a while now, but I've been wondering why my car makes a ticking noice when I'm either killing a r*cer at a stop light or if I'm in a rush and can't my car warm up long enough, I can just take off nice and normal and I'll get a rattle or a tick you might say, sounds sorta like the valve rattle coming from a 4cyl S-10 if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

I don't really know how you "kill a r1cer at a light", but you may want to get rid of this sentence before a mod sees it.

What type of gasoline do you use?
I've realized after gas prices went high, I've been putting in regular gas and my engine makes a "ticking sound" too. I believe this is called a piston slap. If u switch back to super im pretty sure it go away after a while.

It could be a number of things, broken tensioner, water pump, AC compressor, power steering pump etc.

Sounds like a weak valve lifter.

You would be talking about spark knock due to crappy gas. Lots of cars do this with low octain gas.
