I apologize if I missed it somewhere, but I've searched and had no luck. Can someone tell me what the stock HP/Torque numbers are for the Grand Am with the 3400?

Thanks in advance.

did you look in the manual? im pretty sure non "ram air" 3400's have 170 hp (from the crank). not sure of the tq off hand.

No.....I bought this one used and it had no manual with it. That's the first thing I went to look for. Thanks for the info so far. 170 at the crank? Wow....more than I thought it would be.

I think this is right, 170 hp non "ram air" & 200 lb torque non "ram air", with ram its 175/205 all at the crank. Again i think the wheel hp is 140ish hp and 170lbs torque.

Everything here is right except for the Torque on the non "ram air" models. The torque is 195, not 200.

I have seen that a stock grand am dynos around 120 hp at the wheels usually. The auto steals quite a few ponies......

The one i saw was a 2001, I saw the dyno sheets on it. It was bone stock. The kid just wanted to get a baseline of what they come with right outta the box.

I am very sure, it was a 3400 v6. If you look at it its not really all too bad. My friend has a Impreza RS 5 speed and those cars dyno stock at 122.5 at the wheels and they have 165 stock and they have Manuals! They should be able to pick up more ponies then that but they lose over 40 hp. So in all actuality us losing 50 or so horsepower isnt all too bad if not the norm for an auto.
