View Full Version : 2000 SE gurgling noise
Hey guys, I have a 2000 SE 2.4, just had the water pump and upper and lower hoses replaced, along with the coolant flushed. For about a year and a half after I turn the car off, there is a pretty quiet gurgling noise coming from behind the dash. It only goes on for about 30 seconds and then stops. It has never done it while the car is running. I figured this work would have eliminated the noise but it is still doing it, any ideas??

My 3.4 does it as well.

I was told by someone that it's the heater core, and not to worry about it.
It's been doing it since it was new, and no problem (with heater) yet.

I think it is just the sound off your oil bubbling or coolant flowing through your car.... I get that sometimes as well, but mainly when i run my car hard..no worries

Its your coolent still flowing through the system. Once you shut off your engine the coolent is still flowing. KInda like when you stir your coffee with a spoon and when you take your spoon out your coffee is still "swirling". Make sense? Dont know how to explain it with words.
