Hey recently my key won't turn the cylinder without a bit of working, kinda worries me when I'm stuck out somewhere haha...
anyway, is the ignition cylinder a bolt on/off part or is there reprogramming etc that needs to go with it?
I'm assuming I need the dealer to re-key the lock?

Spray some Wd-40 in the cylinder first, that should make it turn easier.

yeah try to lube it first. If not then you might need a new one dude. Most of the time you need to have it reprogrammed ( on newer cars).

Lubing it won't help very much. The tumlbers inside the lock cylinder have a tendency to wear out and won't line up well with the key anymore.
This is why I reccomend people keep the heavy keys to a minimum.
