well i thought i would inform you that the eo # diven to us by tog is not the correct eo number. if you have an eo number of d-509 you will run into problems with smog. trust me i just went to the smog referee (got pulled over for a modified intake) and failed because of them. so now i lost a butt load of money on something illegal

How did the cop know you had a modified intake?

So a cop pulled you over, then asked you to pop your hood so he can take a look?
Im never living in that f-up state, or any state that has anykind of inspections for that matter.

Thats why i love michigan. I can do whatever i want with my vehicles and no one gives 2 sh1ts about it. We have NO inspections of anykind. The worse that could happen is you could get a ticket for tint.

Thanks for the heads up. I have TOG headers and I was thinking I'm ok with that EO sticker but if it's wrong I better call TOG and see what's up. Is TOG even still around?

AFAIK, TOG is no longer around. If you're running clean I can see if I can recommend a few places that are "lenient" on the visual inspection. For fix it tickets...well. Heheh. I may be able to be a little more helpful there.

Wait, you can get a ticket for having a CAI? How the F does that change anything with emissions?

Because here, unless it meets the good old California Air Resources Board requirements (CARB) then it it illegal. I have no idea how they figure a CAI will mess up emmissions, if anything it probably makes the engine burn cleaner. CARB is full of geniuses that think they know everything. In reality, it is all just to look good on paper.
Actually, what the cops are doing here is since illegal street racing is a serious problem here, they will pull you over for having a sticker because they think you are going to race.

I spent $300 on replacing that EGR adapter to have everything be legit, but still, the supercharger isn't CARB legal so it sucks to have to worry about the headers now too. I'm pretty sure I'd pass the sniffer (although, is there anywhere I can find out ahead of time without it being documented?) and maybe I can just find a lenient shop for visual. I really wish I had 2 red GAs. One stock and the other modded to the max then if need be, swap the vins and plates for emmissions/fix it stuff. (Not really though, just dreaming)

There is a spot in Martinez called Guys Smog I took mine to and thay were pretty lenient on the visual...
