Anybody's car in need of detailing exterior/interior?

I'm thinking about doing a detailing day at my house. I've got almost everything needed. Unless you have certain chemicals you prefer. So anybody interested? This isn't definite yet. The weather is supposed to be in the 80's so it will definitely be comfortable out.

basically i wanna see what interest there is in a detailing day. if there's alot and people will seriously show then ill try to come up with a better date. i just saw the awesome weather this upcoming weekend and started drooling.

The only problem i see is not having enough room or a garage to do it in, 90% of the products i use cant be used in the sun or on a hot surface.

ive got a 3 car garage and a driveway nearly a 1/4 mile long. i think we've got room. :)

also have a barn that could hold 1-2 more cars if i move stuff around.

eh, we have an abandoned target here in town that's great for meeting up, but i doubt their water is still running. and the other targets get too much business.

seriously though, we can comfortably clean several cars at once and working as a group we can probably do full details on 3-5 cars and semi-full details on several more in one day.

yeah, we're in notre dame country, even tho metallman hates to admit it, which is basically in the middle of the state right at the northern border. if you've ever been to Alma, MI or therabouts then we are almost directly south and slightly west. Basically we are off of US-31 and I-80.

Jason... if you still have those rims closer to the fall (w/the winter tires), I might be making a drive down there. Or, more likely, next time I'm down there, I might take them off your hands. Don't get too excited, it's just a thought.

Well if you think that a full vehicle detail is just washing your car/truck in your driveway then maybe you should come and hang with us, you might learn alot about detailing. It is actually alot of fun, hard work but fun.


This meet can be more than just a vehicle detail, we can learn alot from each other. I look forward to learning something new from some of you guys and maybe showing some of you how certain products work and how to work them. Im sure i can learn alot from you guys, there is always a better way or product, just gotta have someone show you.

i try not to post in here. thats how i "try" to avoid it. dont get me wrong this is a great site when it comes to when your car is f*cking up, but most of the time, people are just a*sholes. out of all of the forums i belong too, this is by far the most unforgiving. when i first joined up i want to be able to help people, and let people help me. but now if you do a search dont find what your looking for and start a new thread, and its already been discussed, you get treated like your an idiot. h*ll, even giving your opinion gets you blown out of the water around here. its really quite childish. so that is how i try to avoid this site.

Answer to ur Question: Yun. lol, Matt, I know longer have the Winter Tire's. I let my (might as well be Brother inlaw) Have them he is/was putting them on His Girls Car. If they didnt fit or something i will let u know i have them back. As of right now There Gone.

Thats why i like this forum the best out of the 10 i am on daily. This is the one site that will give you a no bullsh!t assesment on what you did or are going to do to your ride. Unlike other sites that everyone strokes each others c0cks and pats each other on the back for a hideuos and worthless mods or ideas. Its also the one site that the same topic isnt talked about over and over again. I dont search for answers on the 'other' GA site becuase you end up with 8653156356 threads on modding the ram air intake (an example).

true, but im using weather.com instead of wndu, i figure they'll be a tad more reliable. its just that i dont want to set this in stone with that looming up. there is a possibility we could wash them in my garage, but i just want to avoid that because it would hinder us a bit and i dont know how much water i can get on the walls/ceiling
