It’s time to get a new car and with that I need to sell my 2000 Grand Am. I’m asking $2500 for the car and the extras that will be mentioned. Unfortunately the car is not in the best shape and I recommend that it be used for parts. Please do not ask to buy parts individually as I am trying to get rid of the car. I live in Central Pennsylvania (Ephrata).
The following is wrong with the car:
The front bumper is broken on the front driver’s side. Black paint job so there are many scratches in the clear coat.
An ABS sensor is out causing the ABS, Trac off, and service vehicle soon lights to come on
The power door lock relays need to be replaced,
Rear brakes need replaced
There is hesitation in the engine. I installed new spark plugs a couple months ago. Can be caused by a dirty fuel pump or possibly injectors, but of course I’m not a mechanic.
Rear seat has a small tear and the driver’s seat had a burn mark at the top.

It currently has 119,000miles on it. It was in an accident 4 years ago damaging the passenger side rear quarter panel. The panel was replaced (OEM materials) and 100% warranted from defects for the life of the car. No frame damage was done and I have had no problems with it from the accident.

Now the good stuff! There are many extras that you get with this car that will either add to your ride or you can sell piece by piece for a profit. To buy this stuff new you would pay close to, if not more than $3500. Not a bad deal. Here are the parts:
Extrude Honed Ported intake Manifold
Adjustable fuel pressure riser
1” Rear Sway Bar (solid) and Strut Tower brace
Short air intake with filter
2 Street Glow blue strobes
(that company we cannot mention)....yeah their Functional Ram Air Hood
Borla Cat Back Exhaust System
Full customized stereo system including:
2 JL 10” W3 6ohm subs in sealed box
2 Kenwood Exceleon 301 AMPS and 1 201 AMP
Exceleon CD Head unit with 3 preouts
2 Alpine 4X6 Plate speakers in the doors
2 Kenwood 4way 6x9 speakers in rear deck
2 Audio Bahn Capacitors (one digital)
All Stinger HPM Wiring
A Pillar 2 Gauge pod with digital voltage meter and air/fuel ratio
Custom head rests with “Grand Am GT” on them
Custom climate control gauges that are clear red
New power steering pump and hoses

If you are interested, please contact me at boovster123@wmconnect.com. Only serious inquiries please! I am looking at selling it by mid to late June so I can pick up my new car. I do travel between Lancaster and Hanover daily so if you are from those areas I can meet you if you are interested.
Thanks! Shawn

I suggest you part out. I understand youre trying to get rid of it but you could make more with the aftermarket parts you have.

Yeah I know I could make more but I figured I have had the car for 6 1/2 years and it is time to move on. Besides, I want to give my fellow Grand Am Buds a deal since I have had nothing but great experiences when I was heavy into showing the car and attending Grand Am meets in the local area.

BTW Pat you got mail!

i saw it.. 2500 is to much i picked up my last one for $500 :) why would i spend 2,500 on it when I can go get myself some 2002s GM cars with like 50k-60k miles that need nothing for under $3000 id probably consider this car if it was like 1,000-1,500 at max.

Not to high jack your thread but a question just came to mind.
My grand am is a 2000 with 47,XXX miles on it. I am the only owner from the day it came of the lot. Never has seen any accidents (knock on wood) minor little paint chip from the road.
How much do you guys think its worth?
Also the car is stock with the exception of exhaust tips and window TINT.

it books for $7,700 id say you would be lucky if you can sell it for around $6,000 (depends on all of the options and what not it has)

One thing to remember, is the market. Is there a strong market for the Grand Am still?
