View Full Version : What makes a wheel hub go bad?
Any idea what would cause my wheel hub on my right front to keep going about every year? the other 3 have never been replaced and have over 100k on them.
(thats the wheel that i hit with a curb going about 20 mph and cost me $1200 to fix) so i dont know if something else could still be bent? or broke?
any suggestions would be awesome.

Wow sounds like the exact problem i have. I hit a curb a few years ago and every year it seems to go out, I still havent gotten mine fixed yet this year i just keep having that abs light on along with the others. If you find out something, run it by me too i would appreciate it.

you have a grand am. get used to that problem.
i have replaced my front two about 5 times now
well i never had the problem until i hit the curb. and its only that wheel... so there has to be something that is bent or not in the correct spot that is making it go bad over and over again.

When your ABS, Service Vehicle Soon, and Trac Lights all come on at the same time.

And if it makes a noise like a plane taking off as your speed increases. Thats what mine did, but I never had the lights turn on.
