I have read the giant picture thread how to replace the window power assembly. And I am stuck, currently I cannot even find the regulator the window doesn't roll at all, it fell to the bottom of the door where there are two plastic little clamps that aren't attached to the window anymore and they look as they should.

Should I just pull on the window straight up and duck tape it to the top of the door?

And what does the regulator look like in this picture?

Yes, and yes.

Well the regulator wouldn't even move, so I assumed the motor is pretty much shot as well, just stock a block of wood on the metal between the top of the window seal and the metal bars that run across the door. Atleast the window is up now.

Is it even worth it to buy a new motor assembly when this **** breaks so often?

Went to ebay and found assembly kits, but they are labeled RH/LH - translation? (left/right hand? )...

Whats the difference between 7999246443QQtcZphoto and 8070598661QQtcZphoto besides 10$?

I just got my replacement power window assembly in yesterday. And I got it from of Ebay for $59.99) . Dealer wanted $239 here for the same thing. If its your driver's door, then its LH. Passenger is RH. Just make sure you order the right one for your car, 2-dr coupe or 4-door.

You can order replacement clips from But it will cost you just as much through them as a new window assembly on Ebay. And you have to remove the old power assemebly anyways. So you might as well get a new power assembly.

Total time was probable an hr start to finish.
