For those of you who remember me (yes I know it has been a very, very long time) I have the black 2000 Grand Am that was at every Grand Am event known to man in PA back a few years back (Shawn/Boov whatever you want to call me). Reminiscing on past years, I will never forget the fun times I had at Dan Brice's pad eating Kabobs and showing off the cars. Or the 3 Carlisle trips...the last one which brought out almost 30 Grand Am's from our club....only second to the Avenger/Sebring Club.

This month looks like it might be the end for me and my Grand Am. Pat from NY will most likely be buying it for a project car. It is sad yet I know it is time to move on. At 120K miles, she has definitely seen better times. Although she still has a lot of life in her and should do Pat proud. I'm anxiously awaiting to here back from a dealership on their quest to find me a Sentra Spec V. I know I will love my new car but I will never forget my car that spawned so many new friends and memories for a life time. I apologize for my long absence from the boards but I went through a lot of personal crap the last few years. And even though the car will be gone, I will continue to try to keep in touch with my friends that helped her be what she was.

Thanks everyone!
Shawn

It might be hard to find a '06 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V.

I was wondering where you got to as well. Yes... fun times back at Dan's "East Coast Shindig" - I'll never forget those either.

Good luck with whatever car you choose. Research the Spec V's a bit first... if you know which ones to avoid and a few precautions (like locktite on the butterfly screws for the secondaries) it will be a fun and reliable car.

Yes folks it's me in the flesh LOL. Thanks for the info on the Spec V's guys. The dealership called me today about it. There are several out their that aren't affected by the recall so that's good news. Unfortunately they don't know when they will have answers when they can start selling the other units. As long as I can get my F'in title in a timely manner from GMAC I should be in a new car by the end of the month or early July.

Actually the buggy is in the shop getting 48" spinners put on. The horse down at the blacksmith getting diamond studded horseshoes and bling bling harnesses. LOL I think Weird Al was singing about me when he made Living in an Amish Paradise.
