Well the time has come after numeruous problems with this car its getting to me.
Today i have 2 appointments one with Chevy dealership because i can get $6,000 off what ever car i want ( employee discount + returning buyer) and another at Subaru of Stamford looking at either wrx or legacy..
Wish me luck to get rid of this clunker.

what are you looking at from chevy???
WRX and legacy are good cars. you dont need luck with them.
good luck in the car search though.

1 used 7 series bmw for 32,000 being taken down to 24,000 out the door with tax and fes for 26,000 . And a chevy cobalt ss just for a test drive cause there is one heavily modded out.
GregFarz78
06-12-2006, 11:45 AM
How old is that 7 series to only be 24k? Personally I'd stay away from a used BMW unless you can afford to fix them, I'd steer clear of chevy too unless we're talking a vette

That 7 series has to be about 10+ years old. A big NO-NO
WhoTF would buy a heavily modded Cobalt SS???? That's screaming "fock me in the ass because someone beat the sh1t out of it"

I'll give you reliable but I wont give you solid I havent been in a chevy car that didnt have rattles...I was pretty impressed with the equinox though it seemed solid from what I can tell now if they can only carry that over to their cars

that equinox really sucks IMO. all chevys do (except vette). nobody else is bothered by the interior of the equinox? window controls???
older 7-series will have expensive repairs, but is more reliable than newer ones that are nothing but trouble.
stick with subaru.

the 7 series is actually a 2000 model the dealer owns it not a trade in.never beat on . AS for the cobalt ss its a show/track car owned by the dealership as adversting for these new speed shop.
GregFarz78
06-12-2006, 12:56 PM
Didnt those early 2000s model 7 series have tons of problems? I'd do major research first go to some bmw forums at least.
I'd demand an upgrade to a 7yr/100k warranty if I were buying that cobolt ss at no extra charge to you

ok little update my car isnt worth Sh1t.........lol who would have thought.
Now then after speaking with the dealer and the finance manager( my moms boy toy boyfriend) we came to an agreement that the service department will just fix the GA ;crap for little to no cost to me under warranty and just ride the car out till it dies because i still owe 12,000 on this damn thing when i thought it was like 9,000 with change. O well but yeah the cobalt was a fun car to drive is had this sport air bag thingy that is like 10,000 just for suspension use kinda cool, it corners like a beast. I'll take some pictures of the set up once i can get another free chance to leave work early before they close.

hmmm seems like you went through all of that to verify what we all know.
so you owe 12k on a car that you spent 9k on? sounds like you have horrible interest rate and you arent too far along in your payments.
gaowners32
06-13-2006, 10:59 AM
no i thought i owed 9,000 bnut i actually owe 12,000 the interest rate isnt bad for someone who was 21 when i bought it... (5.2 percent)

That's not bad I was 20 when I bought my first new car and my interest rate was 5.9 with my dad being a co-signer! This past December I was on my own so I went thru GMAC and got 3.9 for 60 months not too bad by myself no co-signers!
My 03 GT was causing me lots of grief at the end I wanted out ha! I got 10,500 for trade in owed the bank about 8,800 on came out $1600 ahead I was a happy camper!

FOR THE 100TH TIME...YOU DID NOT GET $10,500!!! They just verbally TOLD YOU that. Realistically, they paid off your car and took $1700 (yeah, you can't subtract either) from the price of the new car, because they already had you way above invoice. It's a classic salesman trick, which you obviously fell for!!

The car also had a cool charger on it connected to the stock supercharger that comes with it. Pretty cool stuff. But yeah i ordered/ordering new brakes for the car just slotted and tires i found online on www.vulcantire.com for 78$ a tire for high performance all season pretty good price.

I didn't get fired I quit! I don't know how to count but I've been a cashier since 1999:amraam: Why do I want to go deliver pizzas when they pay you $.69 a roundtrip sometimes you have to drive 5-6 miles to get to a certain location! I just worked there for a couple of weeks for some extra spending money!

Nope, but its in the my contract 10,500 trade in price:amraam: I got extra for my GA because I left my bodykit on and some other mods;crap I got rebates on my car too I got $400 from the redtag bonus but if I were smart I should of waited another two weeks because then GM lowered the sticker prices

I actually prefer to stab it through my scrotum and pin myself to my workchair for the day. This way, I'll get to relive the pain later in the day after it has subsided, when I need to yank it out in order to go home.

Those are stupid! Today's going to be a good day my back piece to my Razzi Kit is being delivered. I got all my pieces now just have to drop them off to get painted
Razzi kits are fun. My grandma is having one put on her car. My student loans might get paid off but I don't know maybe later. I just got a new job at the mall selling phones so I might be able to pay for some cool CF vents. :D

really??? That';s funny, I went to Boise, Idaho yesterday to buy a key lime pie. While there some guy ask3d abought my car and I said I bought it at the deli in Wisconsin. That deli does all my werk too. However, the angry food distributor across the street is always spitting out turkey bones and it makes me mad  I cant go there to get my seat rails painted hot pink and NOT get a dent in my $29,000 G6 GTP. I putt up with it though, because I won't go to another dealer because they dont' serve hot Bic Pen ink from they're soda fountain. I like to be pamprined while I wait, that's why I quite my job as a Pizza deliverer. They didn't give jack off for my work.

GM Card 0% Interest Rate for the first 12 months! But I haven't received my statement yet and I already sent my online payment! I did the sideskirts about two months ago and now I'm doing the rest! I made money the last two weeks selling all of my old GA PARTS!

WEll the car **** the bed again, nothing but bad luck with this car i come out inot the park lot and the bumper is cracked with a nice huge red paint scrape on it. I give up its time to throw the thing away.
So tomorrow before work im going to the VW dealer and test driving the new rabbit. Its good on gas its small and probably 80% less problems then this pos has had.
The rabbit starts at $14,00 but with options and a stupid automatic trans it goes to 20,000 very quickly that with the 17 inch tires and ground effects kit. Lease for $229 a month with zero down and since somehow my cousin has a new gli in going to see if i can get returning buyer since our last names are the same like i did on my moms honda. Wish me luck and hopefully i'll be outta these forums once and for all.(amraams dream ....j/p)
