Thata way. Keep us updated, I'm interested to see how it goes for you. What kind of SC is it? I don't know what Jake had.

ok couple problems showed up.

The headers needed longer bolts but that was the easy one.

Had to extend the wires so they'd fit on the TB.

And the PCM i got from jake would not start the car. So gotta make a program that does work. but its almost done once its running.

its going ok. found out a couple spark plug wires were bout dead and a couple of other things but its almost done. just gotta get the fuel part fixed since the program didnt do it.

You shouldn't need to change pcm's to run the SC kit. It was intended to work on a stock pcm and just used the fuel pressure modifier for enrichment. If Jake had a custom tuned pcm I didn't know about it (or just forgot)... but of course it isn't going to start your car. They have different VIN numbers in the program, plus there is a security code that the pcm and bcm use to communicate. It changes everytime you start the car and if the current one in the pcm doesn't match the bcm it won't start. ;)

There is a procedure that will get it to start. Attempt to start it, leave the car on untill the security light on the instrument panel turns off, turn the car off for 30 seconds, then try to restart. It should start now, if not try it again. You may or may not get a DTC code in the computer for the theft deterrant system, and you'll need someone with a tuner or a tech2 to change your VIN.

Again though, if his isn't a custom tune for the SC then don't bother. Just put your pcm back in.

Update on the PCM.

Without the PCM my car would start but kept stalling out.
With the Custom PCM for the S/C from jake it would not start. He tried to get it to learn itself to the car a few times with no luck. The story behind that is that my guy knows and uses DHP stuff. So he emailed dhp with the pcm info and it turns out that its programmed for a 99 instead of 2000. They sent my guy the 2000 program (for a small fee) and that got it to turn on ok just a little rough on the idle.

So it was running way rich on the stock pulley. So he put the smaller pulley on and its still little more rich than he likes to he's gonna get the tune for the car with dhp.

Bottom line it is running right now. With the headers and more-open exhaust it is making 5-6lbs on the small pulley. Dyno on the stock pulley was 175whp in second gear. Appointment for the small pulley dyno tomarrow. Also for tomarrow, he'll make sure the speed limiter is still there or not, fine tune the a/f since its almost 11 with the program, and he might be able to give me cruise control back on the dhp lmao. That would be nice to have still.

Bottom bottom line. Im getting it back on saturday for sure.

i bet it feels good to finally get this done, u have building up to this for awhile, gradually putting all your pieces together. cant wait to see it man.

Side note. After all this im still gonna get the tranny work done sometime on it. LSD and the like.

*Update so far*
Small pulley actually was great until 5krpm then it went a little lean. So we're gonna put some 36# injectors from a gtp and tune it for those and stick with the smaller pulley.

So far whats left are the injectors, tranny cooler, couple gauges, and tune before i get it back on saturday. I can finish most of the rest on my own or on a saturday garage.

FINNALLY!!!!

I have the car back and its boosted and working fine.

Its making 6 lbs of boost and im loving it. Did not get a chance to dyno it since it was sunday but i can go to a dyno on saturday if needed.

A little more fine tuning is needed and the tranny work done in a few months but for right now it works great.

Yea Ive had tuning software the whole. Just had to fine tune it some more to get it running correctly and it needs some more to finish up.

Hi back to Jeff. I'm pretty bad remembering names though so remind me who that is again? Anyway, yeah I had the same problem running lean with a smaller pulley on the stock program at redline and full boost. Basically the stock injectors are maxed by then. Get some bigger ones and you should be all set to go. Sounds like things are coming along and you have a good game plan. Since you have tuning software might I also suggest doing some VE tuning? I've noticed the need for it with mine since running under boost changes the volumetric efficiency at certain throttle positions and rpm. From what I've been reading all the other fuel adjustments the pcm makes (via MAF, O2 sensor, MAP etc) are all based off numbers in the VE table, so making adjustments to that table will make it easier to get your fueling spot on after switching injectors.

Yea jeff is at Engineered Performance and makes the LSD for our car.

Yea we went for 36# injectors already and programed for those. Jeff did the programming so i know he showed me some tables but i think those were only timing tables at the time.

Def gotta go back for more fine tuning, tranny stuff, and other minor stuff like battery transplant and stuff.

Oh yea. I love the roar it does. :D I am going to try to get a dyno done on saturday at the place near me if i can get squeezed in after fixing a tire and oil change.

Boost FTW!

Ok only one significant problem so far. Might be a side effect but might also be unrelated.

My turn signals work fine during the day but at night they go really fast. So i tried today going back and forth turning my lights on and off with the signals going and i think something with the headlights are making my signals mess up when the headlights are on.

Also i noticed the fog lights dont come on and try to flash as well with the turn signals. The light for the turn signals is dim in the off position and bright in the on position. Dim even with the lights off. I am not sure exactly what to check first. Fuses or hazard circut or something else.

Ah yes, I remember Jeff now. Good guy. :) (I know several Jeff's so...)

Sounds like some strange electrical problems you're having, but they shouldn't be related to the SC. You don't really change anything electrical when you install it. Definitely check your fuses and relays.

Also my car horn is not working.

Guess i gotta get some fuses and test those out or wait for my guy to get back from vacation and have him take a look at it
