Ok...I did a search and didn't find anything useful after browsing a few threads. I've never ran my car at the track before but was considering doing it on the way down next time I go to see my girlfriend because last time I counted like 5 or 6 signs on the highway for tracks. I've seen people mention how to properly launch for good quarter-mile times and I was wondering what is the best way? If this has been discussed before, sorry I must have missed it. Please link me to the thread in that case.

on a FWD, I think most guys do a brake stand to around 2500rpm or so... just dont do a neutral drop=death for tranny. Then again, if your clutch is older and not as strong, a 2500rpm brake stand may cause clutch slippage... just my .02

eh ... 2500 is too high ... more like 1700.

and there are plenty of threads, im just too lazy to look.

sorry, I should have widened the search more I guess. I tried proper launch, 1/4 mile launching, launch, etc. You can lock this if you want then. And thanks for the other thread links.
