i just got new eibach pro kit springs. just wondering if anyone put them in by themselves and how big of a hassle it was to do. i got a spring compressor and all the tools if that helps in the process. if anyone has any tips and tricks or a good shop to bring it to, let me know. thanks

easy enough to do yourself if you have a haynes manual...

but if you wanna take a ride I would help you install them ...

Yea springs are definetly a DIY job. Save the money you'd pay to have a shop do it and put it into other mods. I did mine a few years ago with online instructions and pictures I got from this site. Search for them in the How-To section and have at it. You might not even need a spring compressor if you've got a friend to help you out. An impact wrench or air tools are a MUST...my bolts were rusted on there pretty good. If you need a hand I'm in the Chicago area. My schedule is a little busy but I could help you with the fronts or rears and let you tackle the other.

you can do it without impact tools if you have box end wrenches. the hayes manual shows you how to do it with box end wrenches.

:attention ....anyway id use 2 spring compressors one on one side the other well on the other it does easier that way and less of a chance for the spring to explode under pressure into your face.

um...when you buy a spring compressor it comes with 4 hook things and two long bolts. the idea is to use two of them...thats a spring compressor...like you wouldnt buy 1 shoe, you buy them in pairs to be used for 1 job (walking).

The spring compressors that you can rent from auto zone have one hook the dual hook compressors are usual always out or broekn when you need them.......so you use the single kook and get 2 of them.....

only one hint to offer, eibach don't line up with the impressions in the rubber at the bottom when you install. Make sure you like up the top of the spring against the bump, the bottom will lay in a new spot over the stock spring, if you line up by the impression in the rubber seal at the bottom your parts will be misaligned

Replace the top mount and bottom retainer too. Don't want to tear it apart again when you figure out they need replaced too.
