I want to add Xm capability to my kenwood excelon 815 deck. whats the cheapest way to go about this????

Well if u want to is to sell ur 815 and upgrade to the XM kenwood radio....
This way to me would be the the best un less u want the add on kit for XM radio....

I thought Kenwood had gone with Sirius, and to get XM you would have to go with a RF modulation model of another brand (Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, or Delphi).

Better coverage with more satalites, wider bandwidth, more commercial free stations. And most of the companies whose equipment was initialy offered only with XM compatibility now offer both.

As far as i know that the price of the radio's are going down ....
the cost for the service is about 10$$ a month....
