I came across these pictures of a 99+ grand am with this body kit on it. Who makes it and what does everyone think about it. This was a recent car show here in NY. Does anyone know who's car this is? Personally, I don't like it, but that is the first time I've seen it.

Isn't that the Vader kit?
What the hell posses a kit manufacture's mind when making a kit for this car? That thing is hideous.

Its hard to make a good/great lookin kit for this car period.
The curves and lines on the GA are so sexy and aggresive as is ESPECIALLY the GT. The GT factory bumpers and sideskirts are aggresive lookin to the point where its hard to beat the look it already has.

It's the kit that was based off of Hyundai tiburon kit way back. Called the Infierno kit (yes...infIerno NOT inferno the douchebags)- it sure got 10x uglier when painted. They're not for sale anymore as the company made about 10 that couldn't sell and stopped making them.
Any other q's?

Sorry. Bumper :P
P.S. i agree with the bodykit in general statement, hard to fit for this car....the best looking ive really seen outside stock GT, is maybe SC/T ...most kits for grand am are too dramatic.

That kit will continue to haunt the GA's for ever!

Apparently someone had an obsession with the ricer look...but on a domestic car? I think having the person drug out into the street and shot is too good an ending. Perhaps something more prolonged would be better...after the car is destroyed of course...

The grand am Gt looks great from the factory, and looks even better when dropped on springs and nice 18 inch wheels. Don't ask me what this person was thinking. I wonder how many kits were sold? I'm sure you can still find them on ebay! Any takers?

Yeah, that things pretty gross... why can't we just get someone to make the american tuner kit? Anyone know who made it? Possibly the same company that made the kit for GM's SC/T concept cars? Someone needs to find that company and buy the molds from them. I'd even sell my RK kit for that one. Front bumper was tehsexy! :D

I would guess RK sport might be the best guess for making it.
Isn't the kit just the Hot Wheels Front Bumper withthe center piece removed and a spot for projector fog lights.
I'm pretty sure the sides are the same and the rear bumper looks like a stock SE without the indentation.
If they make it I would buy it, but I think I would swap the RK and AMT bumper from time to time.
I like both of them.
Any Idea's how about how to get a company to make this bumper.

RK sport would only make it if they could get the molds and the rights to use them. For that they'd have to find the original company that made them, and I highly doubt they'd go to the expense when they already have one body kit.
The front bumper is nothing like the hot wheels one though. The hot wheels is very similar to the RK, but if you look close at the american tuner you can see the shape and indentation of the nostrils is different, the center opening and sides are different, and even the shape and how far it sticks out are different. Nothing alike. The sides however do look very similar but I can't tell if they are exactly the same from any of the pics I have. Rear bumper is subtle, but again if you look closely at it it's definitely different from anything else.
I supposed if I tried hard enough I could get it made but there's no guarantee. First thing I'd have to do is find the person inside GM who knows what company was contracted to make the prototypes for the concept, then I'd have to contact that company and see if they even have the molds. They could have been destroyed for all we know. :(
