OK, here's the deal - I'm not a fan of N20, didn't really want it. Then I started dragracing at the track, and we all know how the need for speed bug works....
Spy is gettin' his bioost installed over the next few weeks. I can't/won't spend 2 or 3 grand for a blower or a turbo, but I have this crazy thing about needing to keep up with him. ANyway -
A friend at work blew the engine in his CRX (go figure) and is selling his NOS 100 wet shot kit with a 10 lb bottle for $250. Is this as good a deal as it sounds? What will it take to put it in my LD9? And will the stock setup take a 100 shot (used RARELY, track only) without modification, or will I need other stuff right away ("other stuff" is planned, but over the next few months)? Does the stock computer knbow what to do when this thing is fired? And WHY ISN'T THERE A STICKY FOR THIS?!?! ;)

For a 100 shot, it is highly recommended to use a "wet" kit. If this is a "wet" kit, $250 is a helluva deal! If it is a "dry" kit, it is an average price. I wouldn't recommend over a 75HP shot w/o supplementing extra fuel.
The stock computer will be fine because you are only spraying for a few seconds and it will compensate. All it really does is supercool the intake air.
Also, if it is a "dry" kit, you should be able to purchase a smaller nozzle or jet for 75HP.
I have done a good bit of research on N2O systems and Zex is a GREAT no-frills safe way to juice! It has a control box that measures the flow of N2O via a venturi then compensates fuel by applying more/less vaccum to the fuel pressure regulator to allow more fuel to be injected via the stock injectors. It can be jetted for 55, 65, or 75HP. It is also available at pfyc.com
Have fun!

It is a NOS brand 100 shot wet kit.
I have read three other threads in here on this topic, but it seems all the relly detailed info these guys got was via AIM or PM's. Basicly, it breaks down to this:
I have heard that N20 fries platinum plugs, and needs a narrower gap, so I'm planning on buying a second set of plugs for use at the track with the Nitrus in addition to my .060 gapped platinum's for daily driving. No sacrifices that way other than a few minutes to change them prior to racing.
I plan on upgrading the fuel injectors down the road, a custom intake system and moddified exhaust system will also be in the works. New cams, probably pistons eventually, LSD and flywheel - all kinds of stuff. BUT: Can I get away with this wet shot on the stock setup for now, or should I wait for the injectors and exhaust to be in there first? And if I can run it stock a few times without problems, what exactly is involved in installing this thing?
Thanx!

jamin i'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet the 2.4 will handle a 75 wet shot of nitrous even in very stock conditions..
you should definately check j-body.org and see what they've been doing w/ their nitrous setups.. possibly even emialing some of those guys and seeing what they did w/ their setups..

I agree with Spyhunter. 100 is a LOT even as a wet injection. For that price, buy the kit QUICKLY! :D
Then, call NOS and get a 75hp nozzle for it.
