engine clicking on cold starts, any tsb's?

A couple weeks ago someone had access to the tsb on the famous piston slap issue, my car has been doing this for awhile and I have had enough, I plan on going back to the dealer to find out exactly what the problem is. Any info would be great!

Piston slap really isn't a problem... your car will make the noise when it is started cold.. I'm sure others can chime in on it.. But good luck with a dealer, you aren't going to get anything.

I have to agree with Iceman on this one going to the dealer probably wont get your anywhere. As of right now my car has what I think is a very bad case of piston slap. it started out only when cold that it would have some noise, now it is very loud when cold and contiues to make noise even when warm now.

I would check with the dealer again...I have seen a couple of aztec piston sets replaced on warranty and it is the same engine.

There is no TSB for the 99+ cars... and good luck with the dealership. They have turned me away three times... it's so common that it's practically just a characteristic of the engine.

There does NOT have to be a tsb to get warranty.
