& :wtf is wrong with Japanese Bridgestone tires ? :tool2:
Especially the S-03's !
(Coming from a guy that runs Japanese Bridgestone Potenza RE-950's & Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 tires on my GA.)
& $105 US per tire (I'm guessing for 225/45/17") is a steal for them.
Up here in Canada: expect to pay $260 Cdn per tire (unless there is a clearance sale).
For futher comparison:
The clearance sale on the stock size 225/50/16" on Bridgestone Potenza RE-950 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE950&partnum=25VR6RE950&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=9) is $125 US per tire.
& their replacement for the RE-950, Bridgestone Potenza RE-960 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position&partnum=25WR6RE960PP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=7) are $137 US per tire.
PS: Don't forget that the S-03's are SUMMER ONLY tires.
Don't use below 7°C/45°F.

Hm, what's the USD to Can convo?
I don't go with either brand due to advice from a buddy who works at a tire store and another that used to. They both have said that they would never use them and have seen problems with those brands of tires.
I figure to just go with their advice. Besides, I wanted the Goodyear TripleTred. But then I found out they don't make them in 18" so I gotta find something else :(

Maybe because the GoodYear TripleTred's are not a "perfomance" tire.
Try: Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3&partnum=24YR8F1GSD3XL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&place=0&speed_rating=SR&speed_rating=TR&speed_rating=UR&speed_rating=HR&speed_rating=VR&speed_rating=ZR&speed_rating=WR&speed_rating=YR&minSpeedRating=S) at $168 US per tire for 225/40/18"

$105 is NOT high for those tires. Consider that they are in the ultra high performance catagory and they used to be $194. That is actually a very good price for comparable tires.
Still, I think the next tires I'm getting are Kuhmo ecsta MX's. They have the same wear and traction ratings as the bridgestones and weigh 2lbs less each. Also they are only $101 and right now there is a $40 rebate if you buy four, so they are a little cheaper though not by much.
