Looks as good as it did before. Not sure about the tail lights though..... they're way too much like the Mitsubishi Galant which I don't like at all.

Do like the 4-pipe exaust..... just like my GAGT....hmmmm.

However; Why is Acura, a supposed upscale brand like that of Lexus and whatnot, catering so much to the goofy 17 year old kids with the gunmetal wheels and exaust & stuff? :iconfused Granted, people are gonna do this to the car after they buy it anyway, but it just seems like an obvious attempt to try and "look young & cool".

By the way, those wheels would look way better if they had a silver lip on 'em.

And the cat can finally come out of the bag! The Type-S is arguably the best car you can get for around $36,000 bucks.

Definately "arguably". :)

Damn that hot this is definitely way up there on my potential new car list next year :D

That back now looks to me like a Volvo. Before it only looked like a "TL". Everything else looks nice. I'm suprised they didn't add the reverse sensors on the bumper like all the other cars have now.

So whats the difference between the regular and type s models? Just appearance stuff mainly?

3.2L vs 3.5L for Type-S

Nice refreshment design, subtle but yet striking touches and appearances to its predecesor. Definitly good competition w/ the Lexus' IS models.

Wonder what a totaly redesigned TL would look like?

Did you notice the rear camera?

A little article I found on the Type S

http://www.boston.com/cars/car_reviews/articles/2006/08/05/type_s_as_in_sinister/

The TL in base form has a 3.2-liter V-6 engine that produces a hefty 258 horsepower and 233 lb.-ft. of torque. Upgrade to the Type-S and you get a 3.5-liter V-6 with 286 horsepower and 256 lb.-ft. of torque.

As you might guess, Acura's target TL customer -- particularly for the Type-S -- is a male in his 40s with an income of $100,000 or more. That's not to say that other people won't be able to afford the car when it goes on sale in the fall. Acura is pricing its TL models at between $34,000 and $39,000.

Kinda makes me rethink even considering one now the power numbers arent bad but its still FWD :amraam: and pushing 40k theres better to be had. If this is aimed at those making 6 figure income whats the RL aimed at millionaires?

Because now a days, 16-18yr olds kids and their mommies and daddies like to buy 40k cars for their children. Ive seen more first time drivers with nicer cars than lawyers. Spoiled a-holes. My first car was a 1990 mustang lx p.o.s lol...and jeeze my grand am isnt that nice either lol...+ its the type S version that has all the stuff on it, wat else cud they do to it?

286hp Type S sounds good. Costs lots of money though.

I think they mean 18 year olds, not 40 year olds. and with their parent's income of $100,000+.

The 2007 G35's pricing hasn't been announced yet as far as I know, but with it being a new model I'll bet you that price goes up closer to 40 grand.

its at 34k now for the coupe I cant imagine its going to jump up 6k for a few minor revisions, they dont want to compete against themselves with the M35 which is priced around 41k

fully loaded the coupes reach 38k 'round here. 40 is totally plausable

I'm pricing out a fully loaded coupe right now and the window sticker says 42,850. We'll see if I get it or wait for the new model to come out next year.
