This has happened twice already. Both times I was on the highway going about 60, and the car all of the sudden turned off. I managed to coast it down an exit ramp and pulled aside. But when i tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't turrn on anymore. It would turn over and all, but wouldn't turn on. I tried it several times.....and nothing. After like 10 minutes, it finally turned on. there was like a week gap between the two times it happened. Any ideas on what it could be? I took the battery out to have checked, and it was ok. I have a fuel guage on the car, and its reading normal, so its getting fuel.

trust me it's the fuel pump, mine did the same thing! If that is the factory one you still have Vince, you have gotten lucky with it lasting this long.

Just because you have the right amount of fuel pressure doesnt mean your getting the volume you need! Get a fuel pressure tester, and see how long it will take you to fill up a 20 ounce coke bottle. Should be about 25 seconds or so.

If he has never changed the filter then I doubt it's the pump. My car still has the original pump, 126,000 miles and no problems.

I have changed the fuel filter several times already since i had the car, but most of you guys were right, it was the fuel pump. And it is the original one too. Its fixed now, but thanks for the input.
