So got some questions for the folks that are close to houston. I'll be graduating soon here and have a job with Chevron out of Houston. Where are some good places to live? Anywhere to avoid (i.e. ghettos)???

depends where your job is at because there is alot of traffic, west houston is the nicer part

It would be 1500 Louisiana St.. Not sure exactly where that would be located in reference to west houston.

Right in downtown, well yea somewhere near westpark tollway or 1-10 westpark would be the fastest way to get there and go home.

Anything outside beltway 8 is pretty nice. You do have some nice neighborhoods inside but not as many.

Just remember..traffic sucks. We have a HUGE traffic problem in the morning on any freeway comming into downtown.

Yeah west houston is where I stay and it is pretty nice, traffic is a B but its like that everywhere. Give me a heads up on what you might be looking for (apt. or home) and I will god brother to see whats open.

appreciate the help folks. I don't graduate until May and probably won't be heading down that way until July. I'll probably be looking for an apt at first. I'll let ya know when I'm a bit more prepared.
