View Full Version : My G6 Got Into A Car Accident

I GOT REAR-ENDED on my way to work
Sittin in traffic trying to get to work traffic is backed up about 1 mile because there is major construction work going on! Sittin in the left lane just sittin still all of a sudden the girl behind me ****in hits me she's driving a lil Saturn SL Sedan So I get off the highway so I don't get hit again go pull in a parkin lot and check out my damage done to my G6! Well my bumper is still black I have no missing paint no cracks Razzi back is not damaged at all! But I do notice I have a little L shaped dimple now in the middle of my back bumper and a minor 6 inch scuff! What a day I tell you! My poor car only has 8,000 miles on it and its not even a year old
*I got the damage report today and its only $150! The girl told me she wire me the money to get it fixed since she hit me! Otherwise I guess I'll just live with my love tap!
ok so let me get this straight...
a girl ran into you, but if she doesnt pay you for the damages SHE caused to YOUR car then you will just live with it?

i bet the saturn got the most damage there not steel like normal cars. my friend had a 91 saturn sc it got sideswiped all shattered plastic.

good. i'd rather see shattered plastic everywhere when i look at an accident. makes it more interesting.

Yeah, plastic panels are insanely cheap. Like, a fender is $20.
Sucks to hear bout your G6 though. Hope it all works out.

No cars these days have steel bumper covers with the exception of trucks....

my friends car was a write off.....no frame damage or airbags, motor is in good shape. know whats bad about it, he just had all of the oil leaks fixed and a week after it got smashed.

Yep, I left 2 messages already and no returned phone calls! I'm going to be calling her number once a day and by the time Tuesday comes rollin around I'll just give her name to State Farm and see what they can do about it. I just looove having a L-shaped indention in my back bumper.

id leave a message saying that youre going to contact your insurance. give her a time frame to call you back (1 day) or else you will report her. people tend to react more to threats.

Having heard NOTHING from the girl who rear ended me Went over to State Farm today to talk to my agent and my G6 is getting fixed at the most expensive gm dealership $424 The whole bumper is getting repainted, refinished, its costing a boat load since I have the Razzi Kit installed and the girl also messed up my adhesive on my Razzi Kit so thats getting fixed too I would go to my el cheapo estimate but they're booked up for the next two-three weeks. I'm getting my car fixed on Monday. I'm just happy State Farm has this girls name and phone number and the description of her car. Friday I got tickets to go see STAIND!

Livin in Wisconsin is a stupid anyway because we don't require car insurance and the cops don't require to be called out to a accident if the damage is under $1,000;crap They called me up today and let me know I couldn't go thru my repair shop I wanted too because its not a direct link! So I'm going thru the dealership where I bought my car in town and they are only charging me $287! I just had to get pics taken of the damage done! I still have to pay $50 bucks but that's not bad and State Farm is giving me $16 a day for a rental car. Well the girl who hit me knew the mark she gave me because she was staring at my bumper for 5 minutes! I'm not going to worry about it! It's just another legal battle again like I had in November

Did you ask the girl if she had insurance? Did you right down the license plate number at least? Do you have a camera phone? Would have been wise to snap some pics if you have one. Another bright idea would have been to demand identification.

She gave me her phone number and name! When I called the phone number it came up to her right name! Yes, I do have a camera phone! I didn't write down the license plate number which I know I should have! But the insurance company and track her down by her telephone number. I had to do explain to the insurance company on the phone what happended to and due a written statement.

When I called the phone number, it came up to as her right name!
Yes, I do have a camera phone!
I didn't write down the license plate number; which I know I should have!

VIN # (with make & model also)
Driver's Licence # (with name & address)
Insurance Co. & Policy #
Driver's Telephone #
& you won't get screwed.
