Hello everyone.
I'm new to the forum(first post). I just baught a 99 red GAGT Coupe with 53K. It is mint in and out and I love this car. I've been hearing that the stock injectors can be prone to clogging. I just had a problem with #5 cylinder missing that was solved by tapping on the injector with a screw driver while the car was running and it smoothed right out. I was wondering if anyone has tried to solve this issue with a set of after market injectors like accel or holley? Does anyone know what size the stock injectors are? I would like to try it but I just want to go with the same size injector as stock.

Welcome to the forum boards!

Aftermarket injectors should not be a problem. Look below for which size your car uses.

Stock 99 fuel injectors are rated 19 lb/hr @ 43 PSI
Stock 2000 + fuel injectors are rated 22.5 lb/hr @ 55 PSI

Summit has 19lb/hr 14.4 ohm saturation type Accel injectors for $194.00 for a set of 6. But the Summit site doesn't say 19lb/hr @ ?what? pressure. I also don't know what the impedence is on the stock injectors?.........I've got some homework to do

Call summit they can tell you the flow rating @ pressure of the injectors. You want high impedance type.

The summit site says that these are a stock replacement for 1999 camaro/firebird with a 3.8. I guess I coudn't be lucky enough for the stock injector part # to be the same for the 3.8 and the 3.4 in 1999.

Stock or aftermarket?

Sorry for not replying, but I wanted the price for stock. I went to the dealer yesterday and priced ONE injector, and it was $124. I thought that was a rip off...

It is a rip. You can get it cheaper through GMPD, but you may have to wait awhile for it.

GM phased out the MULTEC I injectors in favor of the MULTEC II units.

stock fuel injector part numbers:

99 GA w/3.4 = 17113573
00+ GA w/3.4 = 17113623 this was further revised with a new part number of 12586554 (I believe this was to include a revised carbon shield cap on the bottom of the injector)
