I've talked to a few other people, people are getting like 30 miles per gallon. Im only getting like 18 miles per gallon (Approximetely 190-200 Miles per tank once the red light comes on). I just had my fuel filter changed a few months ago so i know it isn't that. Anyone know what the issue could be?

air filter, driving conditions, weather, if you have a lot of hills compared to the other person, added weight (ie rims and system) while the other person doesn't have either...it really depends on a lot of things

It also depends on how hard you drive it.

Most of my driving is city driving & I get about 200 miles to a tank . I'm thinking thats normal . When I go on long trips it pretty much doubles.

yeah, in the city i can push high 200's driving VERY conservatively, which I do now to save money. On the highway to go see the lady I get over 330 miles to a tank. I get on it every now and then, but rarely. I also dont have any extra weight on my car either...

I was just asking, for a compact car, u'd expect more than 16-18 mpg in the city lol

The GA isn't a compact car.

For the record I just got 403 miles to a tank while getting dead on 30 MPG. Burned 13.4 gallons of gas doing it. Still didn't get low enough to turn the low fuel light on. This was all highway miles.

18 mpg out of a mid-sized six doesn't sound to bad in the city. It just feels worse because of the relatively small gas tank means more trips to the pump.

Not bad. I try not to push mine too low cause my gas gauge doesn't read correctly when it's less than 1/3 of a tank lol

dont forget tire pressure, clogged injectors, old plugs, old wires, and about anything else you do when its time for a tune up.

im having the same issue. i think im gonna try to tackle this and find out what the hell it is. ive replaced air filter and plugs. o2's are a big problem with all cars i think. i run my trans am in open loop so i dont use the o2s. I also have the LIM gasket as a problem. I believe its also related to oil sludge. the car almost has 80k. fuel filter, oil sludge remover and o2's are going to be things i start trying to eliminate this problem. once i get the cash, ill do the lim.
