Aztek - new opinion

I don't know how everyone else feels, but IMO the POntiac Aztek always seemed kinda :amraam: Well anyways, I got to work this morning and for some reason one of the sales team guys needed to use a merchandising van. So I got to drive one of the sales vehicles, an Aztek. As it turns out I actually thought it had a really nice interior and the ride was pretty smooth, although anything is smoother than an Astro van with 200k+ miles on it. So the question is, does liking the Aztek make me gay?

OT: I kinda like the randomness of the company vehicles that CocaCola uses. Merchandisers, who never haul anything except for a rack once in awhile, get Astro vans and the sales team gets Azteks. You would think they would give us economy cars or something so they wouldn't spend a fortune in gas...although it's nice cause I can use my Speedy Rewards card on fillups :thumbs:

Well the audio place around me did a aztek up nice last year. Black on black leather. 20inch giovanna rims, 10k worht of sound. Thing had more electronics than a god damn kiss concert. 10TV's..5% tinted everywhere. i wouldnt look :amraam: driving that....Hell i dont think Lance Bass would look gay driving that...

for whatever reason i never tottally hated the aztek like many people here do. and there was that one realy cool that was greenish and all modded. looked sweet. i would never drive one, but im not vomiting in my mouth when i see one.

Though I would never buy an Aztek simply based on the fact that they look kinda weird I will give Pontiac credit in a few areas:

-The midcycle refresh that they did where they had paint matched fenders and larger wheels made the vehicle much better looking(much in the same way that they did the Avalanche.(Nothing looks worse than TONS of grey plastic)

-The cool/usable features that alot of people never understood. The center console that becomes a cooler that you can take with you/the mud/dirt resistant interior that was still soft/the half rearward/half frontward facing audio system made for tailgating/and the best one of them all...the optional tent that turns the Aztek into a camper...inlcuded the Aztek air matress with the option far as I know.

Pic below of the "Aztent" and matress....I guess you could say its for getting Azz in your Aztek.

I would say that's how I feel now. I still would never buy one, but just saying they're not that bad and I wouldn't mind driving it occasionally when I have to work. Still hate the fact that when you use the rearview mirror you can hardly see sh!t cause of the way the backend is designed.

And yes coupe, the Astros are fun to drive simply because for some reason we don't mark ours, so I drive around a huge unmarked, windowless, rapist van lol

That wasn't a midcycle refresh, it was a one year emergency update so the ugly SOB could make it past the one model year mark.
