Ok so im driving home from work last night and i got a battery light and my interior lights got a little dim... I knew right away its the alternator cause I got an optima redtop not too long back. So today after work I go to autozone and bought a duralast reman alterantor for $100 plus a $30 core charge. I leave and as Im driving up the highway I hear a loud bang! I look in my mirror and the box is on the ground, because I had left my alternator on top of my car HAHAHA!! I parked off to the side of the road, and ran back and looked for the alternator which had bounced inbetween 2 medians into dirt. It was F*****!! Thank god it was under warranty but I have to wait an extra day for them to order one. I was so pissed/nervous i almost **** myself. Ive had bad experiences in the past when I ruined a 160 amp, but I wont go into that...
Other than that, my car is doing fine. I recently got milzy's pcm which is great, and I have a ported upper intake which Im waiting to put on. I just ordered a cnc cut phenolic intake spacer from 60* with built in o-rings so no need for gaskets, and they are only about $20 more than felpro gasktes. Im gonna try and make it to the track next sat, so 14's here I come!
