dont know what you mean by clearance to the bumper but the clearance to the fender is just fine... in the pics the cars owners have moved their washer tanks in order to aim the filter more towards the front bumper that and they were having issues with their tank before installing their intakes...

Does the eBay seller support this community? I think not. Lvemy3100 is a forum sponsor and a valuable member of this community, so please respect that.
Edit: Just out of curiousity Lvemy3100, what size is the S&B Powerstack cone filter? A 7" fits snugly on my car, although it is a tad overkill.

Well sorry to upset the sponsors.... I own a harley... and when we fix harleys we go the cheapest route to gain the same results.....
If your intakes make much more difference than the cheap-o EBAY ones... let me know.
Maybe I should sponsor the site. ;)

do these CAI's make much difference than just a 3" pipe runing to the fender well with a K&N on the end?
killians31
09-12-2006, 09:30 AM
he offers them ceramic coated on his web site. which will keep the air from getting extremly warm due to the engine being right next to the intake.

Well then, that seems to do the trick.
My bad.

I was just looking at that ebay intake and one thing comes to mind: you get what you pay for. If you think about it pretty much any quality CAI costs upwards of $100, but then at least you know you're getting quality parts. In any case I think I'll be placing my order soon. First I gotta see what the holdup is on my stinkin cutout...

it was and truthfully I would have left it at that since I dont make much off these kits to begin with but after all the emails and posts of people showing how happy they were to have me here as a sponsor I felt it would only be right if I showed everyone how much I appreciate this forum and what it has done for the N-body community... even if it is a GA specific site.
THANKS EVERYONE!

Is there anyway I can get the couplers and the piping alone? I already have a new K&N 5" filter sitting next to me on my desk. If so whats the price?

you can have it delivered to a UPS store for a small charge I believe (not really too sure)... and like Coupe said it can be installed in a parking lot without a jack or anything... in fact there are pics of me installing one on a Malibu I sponsor in SA TX on cardomain.... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/749949/11
install was done with 20's on the car (soon to be 18s) and replaced a DS intake that was on the car at the time... just need basic socket set with extension...

I could receive packages when I was in college. When I was in the dorms, They would deliver them to the one office on campus and I would have to go get it. Then when I was in an apt. they dropped it at my door.

I found out today that I can have packages delivered to my dorm hall, i just have to pick it up. What difficulty level is the install? Do you have any instructions online to see if i think i am capable of doing it? Thanks for all your help, and i will be glad to buy from a GAGT.com sponsor if things fall into place well enough.
edit: Have you any pictures of the CAI installed on a GAGT? the ones in the post were fuzzy and i think on a malibu?
lvemy3100
09-18-2006, 04:24 PM
there is an install thread on this site somewhere ... difficulty level is *too easy* .... and as for pics yes the ones posted are of installs on Malibus but the ga and malibu share the same chassis and are only different cosmetically (sp?) so the fitment is the same... I may have some installed pics on a GA either wednesday of this weel or monday next week....this is only if the customer allows me to take and piost pics.. who know they may post them anyways just to show off the new mod....

if by chance you can't handle *stupid easy* im a phone call away..lol
and the "how to" is pyro's iirc, it was for the ebay one which requires cutting, but this one doesn't. so basically it's the same instructions as what he wrote, minus the part with the cutting.

Just got this product and I'm very happy with. No real modifications were necessary minus bending the mounting bracket for the stock intake resonator a bit. Other than that it was a seamless install done without removing the tire or headlight. We did have a little trouble getting the filter to sit right but that was solved. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs/wants one!
