p.s. the door jams were purposely unpainted.

The blue needs to be darker IMO (more like a "midnight" color) and too much "show" in the engine bay. Otherwise its very sharp.

Too much show in the engine bay? Those bays come stock like that. all it is, is painted blue and has an intake.

I like those brows, kinda looks like the car is stoned.

Its still too much IMO. I hate that car makers cover up all that stuff just for the sake of having a name badge on it. Frankly if I ever get a car with that kind of useless fluff on it, first thing I'm doing is ripping it all out. But again, thats my preference.

I'm with lone_wolf on this. Ditch the plastic under the hood, and I'd give it

So you guys would rather see dirt, wires, and parts all over the place, clustered up, over a clean covered up look? You guys are crazy.

Is it crazy to want to see an engine when you look under the hood?

see those little bolts buddy? Unscrew them, take off the engine cover and walla!! To your amazement, you have an engine.

I am truly amazed. I never realized that taking the cover off would *gasp!* uncover the engine.

if he painted the chrome and tinted the reverses it'd look good. if youre gonna go stealth its go all the way or dont go at all.

meh, it's ok looking, but it's stock outside of some tint on different things. I know he has hid's, but that is very dark tint on the headlights. he probably loses alot of visibility, unless he drives with the highbeams on all the time.

actually he doesnt drive the car at all almost only on nice nights out and on fridays to the local clubs. He usually drivers his other older tl type s.

I guess I'm the minority on this but, I love seeing dirt, stray wires, and other crap in my engine bay. Then again, I drive a lifted Chevy Silverado. When I take it out mudding, all kinds of weird stuff finds it's way in there.

see, imo engine dress up should improve the look of the engine parts, not cover them. Im all for a sexy looking, clean, well thought out engine bay. I already have a clever device to obscure the look of 'unsightly' engine parts, its called a hood.

In a word...YES!
I personally enjoy seeing all the moving parts and wires because I love to take crap apart, find out how it works, and slap it all back together again. What matters most, to me, is having access to all those parts so that I can see what's going on. That way I can mess with whatever needs tweaking/repair w/out having to remove some plastic cover that just gets in the way.

the one cover exception i'll make is on a corvette... there it just makes the engine look downright sexy, especially when replaced with a carbon fiber peice... mmmm *drools* tasty..... lol
