Last night between 9 and 6 someone popped the lock on my trunk and stole 2 12" CompVR's, my kicker amp, my capaciter, my first in bag, and misc cleaning supplies. I AM SO F*ing PISSED. This is shady side for F*s sake. I was parked right next to a pizza place in a well lit area. AND the best part is... they didn't even enter the cab of the car where i have more than 5k invested. The only part of my car i didn't insure were those subs. I would have given them the GPS, the XM, the head unit and everything else in the cab b/c they are ALL insured!!!!. I'm so pissed. On the off chance someone sees anything or hears anything, let me know PLEASE.. my insurace company says they don't cover the subs b/c they were not "bolted" to the car:(

have u been playin music loud around that area? as soon as someone hears loud music, they know that someone has something valuable in the trunk, regardless if its shadyside or not

ill keep an eye out for anything of the products that you siad because i usually have easy access to anything cheap

why not just tell the insurance company that they were bolted down and just drill some holes into the trunk?

Yea... time to add some bolt holes. Although... depending on your comp claim deductible, might not be worth it anyway.

You don't have to contact them, unless it's some crazy multi-thousand dollar show car. Threaten to get a lawyer... it is an insurance agent's job to screw you the most they can when making a claim... some even get bonuses for doing so.

thats what you get for having money invested INSIDE your can with no decent alarm

someone " popped my trunk " a crappy 150 dollar alarm from ABC warehouse could have saved you

Thanks mr. bright and cheery. JFYI, i did have a Viper 5900 SST 2 installed on the car, along with a VIP Codelock keypad on the interior. Both were taken out for ONE night so i could work on the frame for the camera and HDD i was integrating into the alarm, and that's the night they hit. As for being a d*ck... well you seem to have won that one

I talked to another claims agent today, a friend of mine, and she laughed in my face about getting a lawyer and told me they'd just throw a bigger, better one at me. I really don't think it's worth whining too much over. I think i might know who did it, and personally, if i get to kick someone's *ss over it, AND get my subs back... well that will be a great day.

Time to get a new insurance company. You're the customer... shouldn't have to fight them on claims. That's why I dropped Liberty Mutual years ago... they tried the same sh1t.

You're 18... so we figure you're a noob too.
