Thought this was interesting & was wondering if anyone else has done this or tried it. 1 of my buddies has a 99 GaGt & was having trouble with hesitation & other problems. Long story short he gave the car a tune up no change. He then change the fuel filter , still no change . He then decided to reset the PCM . Now the car runs great.
Enyone else tried this ?

It's is possible, although unlikely, that it could have had an effect. When you "reset" the pcm all you are really doing is reseting the learned fuel trims back to zero. If the fuel filter was really clogged up and causing a hesitation, then he replaced it, he would be suddenly getting more fuel pressure to the injectors and the pcm's fuel trims would be set too high (wider injector pulse, richer). The pcm would automatically adjust itself for that though and it would only take half an hour to an hour, so all reseting the pcm would do is make it a little faster.
