i aquired a 2000 GT1 and when i went into the dealership and had them search the VIN, it came up with no records of any warranty work and no recall work. it doesnt show any outstanding recalls nor does it show that any recalls were fulfilled. ;crap

i know that the 2000 GT1 had the armrest recall, the blinker recall, the steering wheel nut recall, and probably some others too. how could these not show up in the dealership database? they cant perform the recalls if it doesnt have them outstanding.

in carfax it has a clean title. the first owner had it from 00-04 and put on 47k miles. the next owner had it from 04-05 and he put on 50k miles (doesnt seem correct). then LukeD got it, then he traded it to me for my 99 grand am. im just trying to figure some stuff out. the interior looks brand new (leather on the steering wheel, shifter, and e-brake handel) which confuses me because it looks like its off the show room floor, not like its on a 100k mile car.

Why did you trade your SE anyways, that car was amazing.

I usually go to one dealership (grossinger) for my warranty work but a few weeks ago died on the opposite side of town so i took my car into O'hare Pontiac.

They searched the VIN number and no work came up in their sytem. They also told me that my warranty expired at 50,000 miles while my warranty in fact is supposed to be untill 86,000.

I asked them why they don't have that info and they replied "our systems cant check what work was done at other dealerships"
