I metioned this one in the wrong thread yesterday. When you pull the water temp plug off the 3.4 motor, the car runs rich with some super hard shifts. Like I said, the tires bark through the first 2 gears. I'm not suggesting this idea, just want to know a little more about what it does. Obviously the ecm thinks that the motor is cold and bumps up the fuel and the tranny pressure, but it snaps into gear. Fans run constantly also, so motor never hardly gets warm to touch.

Would it have harmed anything when i did it 3 years ago? (Just had gotten the car and fooled around a little bit but the shifting and fans were nice for the track.)

It probably puts the thing in "limp home" mode. Not a good idea to mess with. Also by running that rich you're lively to wind up with other problems later.
