one is a kit, one is a turbo.
that website, good luck on getting them to actually deliver you a kit, most guys on this site seemed to have had problems with actually getting delivery on parts.
Talk to TEJOHNSON or SCHWEPPE or any of those other v6 boosted guys. You're pretty much going to go custom chap.
and the tranny would be the FIRST thing I would do if I was stuck w/ a 3400 v6... yikes.

Thats what i keep tellin all the guys i know here that i cant get any better times on the track without risking the tranny. And thanks for the info on the website. Wasnt sure because a kit would have been nice but custom isnt a prob either. I tried to pm pat but his mailbox is full. lol

Well, you can get better times at the track without risking the tranny... it just depends on how much better you want. You can get into the 14's easily with the stock tranny, and even the high 13's. Once you start making enough power to get 13's though you'll start running into trouble. Not breaking things though. More like burning up the clutch plates. Next weak point is the stock open differential, especially if you are launching hard with drag radials. Once you rebuild a trans and address those two things and a few other upgrades though we know they'll hold up to at least 12sec passes. We haven't found out just how far you can push it though. Waiting for schweppe to break his. ;)

Are there any kits to address these problems with the clutch plates and being a open diff?

Had no idea that the 4t60 e could handle that kind of power without breaking. Was trying to be cautious cuz trannies arent cheap. What would be good ideas for the tranny to start with? Tranny fluid radiator?

1. It's a 4T45E not a 4T60E.
2. The 12 sec. V6 car does not have a stock transmission. It was specially rebuilt at Rossler.

No specific sites exist. Instead you have to piece the parts together. Look for Tejohnson's web site. It explains everything he used for his custom rebuild. Plus there are a few more parts out there that escape me at the momment.

Is an tranny fluid cooler a good idea or is it not needed?

Tranny fluid cooler is a very good idea. As for the parts, there are several threads about this already. Just do a search for 4T45e transmission. There are several threads that list everything you can get.
