Are we going to have another Bay Area meet sometime before the end of the year? Now that I have a car that's one color....

lol I just posted that in your other thread. I'm down for whenever- weekends just let me know a week or so in advance so I can plan ahead. My car's still leaking and the paint needs to be touched up here and there but it's pretty trivial so I'm not too worried.

Too funny. I am down for whenever too. I can't drive too far because I still have fresh paint on my car. I'm going to Port Costa tonight to take some pics for the calendar.

Driving shouldn't affect the paint anymore than normal. Rock chips and stuff aren't going to be any better or worse even if you let the paint sit. the only thing I wouldn't recomment is putting vinyl or wax on the paint for at least a month or so.

I can't wax for two months, no car cover for 2-3 months, no washing for 1 month.
Yeah, it won't but I'm scared to drive it too far.... bad enough I had to drive from L.A. then through the median on I-5 to turn around after a huge accident stopped traffic just north of 46 on our way back.

Hopefully I can go, I got in my accident just before the last one. I may even be able to enter in this one though if all goes well. I'll come help you on your drums and maybe some other stuff before then too Darren.

Accident, what happened? You were not hurt were you?

Nope no one was hurt but long story short, I was driving hwy 4 back to Antioch from Concord going up the freeway near the Wilow Pass exit, when a truck in front of me swerved just in time to miss a big-rig tire bouncing and heading towards me at at about 35mph. I'm doing 65 towards it and didn't have the line of sight the truck in front of me had. I didn't want it to go through the windshield or bumper so I swerved to the left. It hit my left front fender and I basically did a 180 across 3 lanes into the guardrail. Rear quarter panel got hit first then bounced out and my front fender then hit the guardrail, but fortunately missed my doors. Hood is ok except a mount, and everything mechanically is ok too including the supercharger fortunately. Most importantly everyone in my car was ok (friend and his two kids). Basically 3 out of 4 quarters of my car are damaged though (passenger side fender being damaged by the tire itself).
So yeah today it's going into the body shop hopefully to come out even better than before. ;)

I don't think my interior is going to be done for that show for me to enter it. Maybe next year. But I still would like to meet up.

Who cars. Keep the doors closed. Your windows are tinted.

LOL..... yeah, no they aren't. My rear doors and driver's side front are the only ones tinted. The rear windshield is not tinted yet and neither is the passenger side front.
I care. My car is in pieces right now..... doing a new stereo system install.
