Well I just got back from my trip to Denver. I had a great time and a great rental car. I rented a Dodge Charger because I've been thinking of buying one of those or a Dodge Magnum. I was pretty lucky and got a red one with a HEMI in it. Vroom vroom. It had plenty of power, but not as much of a roar as I had hoped. I guess some people want power and silence, but not me. After driving it and looking at it a while I decided that I definitely like the style of the Magnum much better. Even though it was an awesome car, I think I'll hold off on buying either one as I'd much rather buy a house within a year or two. Here's two pics of the car. One in nice weather and one with snow. (It was 70 degrees one day there and snowing the next, go figure)

Oh, and I didn't intentionally block out the license plate of one and not the other. The flash blocked the first one and I toned down the shine a bit. I didn't really care whether anyone saw the plate of a rental or not... lol

Not a bad car but its major downfall is no manual transmission option...dodge REALLY dropped the ball on that one

Im not a big fan, they lack in the looks department for my tastes. But I do like the SRT8, I think thats their high end one, cant keep all the different SRT version straight.

Yeah it is the SRT8 and it is bad ass. But they are nice cars, I just think I would rather spend the money on a GTO or something like that

The one I had was the manual/automatic car. They call it a "five-speed autostick transmission". You could drive it like a manual, but it really isn't the same.

I got this clip from http://www.allpar.com/reviews/2006/charger-review.html

"The AutoStick transmission provides a temporary override rather than making you choose the gear the entire time it's in manumatic mode. Say you want to start in third for better snow traction, or downshift for a long hill, or a potential passing situation: you can do that easily, and afterwards, the system reverts to Drive (or you can bump it up past fourth gear, which has the same effect). You're always in the system: when in Drive, bump to the left to go down a gear, and to the right to go up. You can do what most people will do and ignore it, and you will get by just fine. We did have a problem at lower speeds with getting the system to shut off; it would not do it when we bumped up the gears, and we ended up quickly going back into Neutral and returning to Drive, a clumsy workaround which essentially stopped us from using the AutoStick except for short testing purposes. (The automatic behaves well enough to make the AutoStick unnecessary most of the time.)"

I had the same problem with it not wanting to shut off in the lower gears. You had to bump it back to neutral like they said. Very annoying.

I noticed that when I took one on test drive. It was very annoying. Plus I really didn't care for the MDS system either. It wanted to stay in 4 cyl mode to long.

Dodge isn't 'gay' or even 'Ghey'... they're just not in the friggin groove that they should be in.

I must admit those two extra doors on the charger just make me want to puke. They're handy, but then again, it's an EFFING Charger!!!

No offence to anyone that really likes dodge but the only good thing dodge has done in recent history was creating a 550 hp viper. and even then its not that amazing cause its an 8.1 liter i think. they should have been able to get alot more hp out of a 8 liter engine in my opinion.
