I was wondering if there are any differences in the lower intake manifolds from 99 to 2000 and up??? I have a 99 grand am but bought a 2000+ ported lim on 60*v6 by mistake. Will this work or will I have to replace my order?
Ive never heard any differences with the lim's, just the egr on the uim so Im not sure.

Heater line coming out of the thermostat housing is different. 2000+ used a push in connection, while 99 used a threaded connection. You'll have to transfer over your old heater line connection and tap the housing.

Damn, thats what I thought. Guess Ill have to change my order if its not too late.

I see that mine has not nut to loosen, its just a straight pipe. Is this the push in? I konw my lim is a 99 but I thought the 99 was threaded?

My 99 isn't threaded.

Can you show me a pic of your heater plug? Mine is just a straight black pipe, but 99 is suposed to be threaded. I just got my ported lim, and he threaded a 2000 manifold for me. I hope I wont have to ground down the threads

Don't have the car near me at the time. I don't know how well grinding down the threads will go.

Well I have a dremel so as long as I can get it nice and smooth it would prolly be fine. I thought 99 was suposed to be threaded though? I hate GM, lol
