Bad Power Draw & Stupid Stereo

Alright, let's start this one off.

I have a 2000 Grand Am GT1 with 88k miles and my car is ****'in up. My headlights are dim and when I turn on the defroster the lights dim. Additionally, I have to JL 10''w3's that buzz when my car is idling....Anyone have any ideas about these two things. I think my alternator might be going but that is my only idea.:attention

Any help / ideas would be appreciated!

ya mine does that also. but my alternator is making a rpm dependent whining sound. when i turn on the blinker or step on the breaks the lights dim. also when im idiling i rev it up n lights get bright then dim back down. so im pretty sure its the alternator.

Where are you drawing the power from? I am drawing it from the battery and my 400 watt amp doesn't dim the lights one bit. Also, what do you have it grounded to? I bet if you have the radio off the buzzing noise gets louder as the RPMs get higher, if so you have your ground wire too close to your power wire, or you just have the ground wire attached to something that is receiving power.
