So I received my HID kit today. I have one question. As far as the red power and black ground goes... can I just run a power wire that connects both power wires from the lights directly to my battery? Then would I just ground the negative wire to the frame of the car? Or another way, could I run the power wire to my fuse box underneath my hood? I would probably run it to a 20 amp fuse. This is for a Honda Pilot and not a grand am.

Or is there a way to run the power wire directly to my power wire that goes to my headlight plug? I looked at the connector but I could find a way unless I took that sucker apart. Which I don't want to break it

i could be wrong, but i think what will happen if you do that, is your headlights will constantly be on.

That is what I was thinking as well; however, it would be the power wire to the ballasts, which then connects to my bulbs that would be connected to my stock wiring harness for my lights. Wouldn't I still be able to switch on and off the lights since my bulbs are still connected to my stock wiring? I suck at electronics if you didn't know already;crap

could you do a easy test run, or would that be a pain in the ass?

That is what I think I will do. I just wanted to make sure I had the right idea and not fry anything.

I am an idiot. I should just splice into my stock harness from my headlights. That would be the best way right? The kit came with no instructions, so I want to be positive.

I already searched and seen that thread; however, that was not the same kit so I wanted to make sure from a member who has used my kit. Anywho I figured it out and they work great.
