Want to kill the 2000 RPM thrum. Driving the car on a road trip mejor in a few weeks. I have some Second Skin mat... Can this stuff be applied underneath the car in the elements? Or must it be in a less weather beaten environ?

*Any suggestions for damping the old SLP?

Thank you kindly.

Best bet is to apply hush mat under the carpet. Its the best I've ever used.

I found Hush Mat to be cheaper and better.

Last fall, I put a pair of resonator tips on to save my good SLP tips for show/summer use. They knocked down the interior noise. I got them from ebay - 2 1/4" and I used adapters to install them. The 2.5" tips were too big and too long.

Layered the snot out of the trunk. The sound is reduced quite a bit. However, you still know there is viscous system on there and there is still thrum in the cabin. Now it is not loud rather more hum to the sound.

Oh well...

Jake, Dynomat sells a spray that is just like Dynomat. What I did to my car was buy some cans (8) to be exact, pull the whole interior out of the car. Spray from the back to the front. Floors and side panels. Spray it on top of what you have as well. It dries really good and its pretty thick. I did it more for system wise but I did notice a dramatic reduction in noise. Especially on the highway. The car seems to have more a sold feel now. ( Noise wise) Do the entire truck, walls, floor. Take the weekend if you can spare it..
