Well someone I know is selling his parents camaro which they've owned since it was fairly new. It's a 1984 Z28 2 seater convertible. has the 305. Minor damage on it but the rear quarter does need some crincle help or a replacement, nothing big. I've searched around for how many were made but i can find any specs on them anywhere. He wants 4500.00 for it. Does anyone know any sites where i can find some good info on this site? Anywhere that might help or any info. anyone has about these? Thanks.

$4500 and needs a new quarter pannel, ouch. I owned a 83 Z28 and there not worth that in CAD unless there mint. IMO your getting ripped off dont buy it. They are nice cars and they are alot of fun, but thats too much, plus insuarnce is riddiculous

yes i agree. The rest is mint, just minor things on the back. It wouldn't be the entire quarter just the bit behind the wheel. The thing that's getting me is the 2 seater convertible. I've never seen one like that (most have the back seat w/ trunk) this has the fiberglass deck. From what i've picked up they are rare as can be but i can't find any info on how many were produced.
EDIT: BTW, I'm interested in it so much because I need a car for my autobody class. even though that's after my engine tech class and a blistering 2 years away, i still want to find a nice car to start getting parts for so when the time comes.

If its a fibreglass rear deck its custom, no Camaros had a fiberglass rear deck. Even so its still WAY over priced.
I would pay over $1500....rare car or not.

Its not rare at all, convertable Camaros arnt really really rare, it just has some custom work done to it.

You're right. IIRC...the firebird verts that came from the facotry as 2 seaters were the rare ones.
