Hi all-
I am having an interesting thing happen...Under medium to heavy throttle in first gear, when the car shifts to second, I feel the gear change, but then there is a hesitation, and then I feel the power come back on. Could this be a tranny problem? I am thinking it is a PCM problem, as many of you have had the reprogram done from GM and said it cured problems like this. I would appreciate any help anyone can offer!

Thanks,
Brett

well i just got my car out of service and i had a similar problem. from first to second it would hesitate or and you can feel the shakiness in the gas petal. and then from 2nd to 3rd. i would 3/4's throttle and it would misfire. to make a long story short, i brought my car into the dealer, took it for a test drive and they said it was slipping, misfiring, and shuttering. trifecta!! anyway, they found the problem, it was the "compression something solenoid" forgot the term. it wasnt a huge problem, but it took them 2 days to fix and they had to remove the tranny from my car. i would get it checked out, cause it could be what i had and now i feel i have a new car. if its under warranty, u should have no problem like i did, but if youre not, i couldnt tell ya how much it would cost. hope i helped.

I had a similar problem.

Pressure Control Solenoid replaced.

4.5 hrs of work....total cost ~450. Covered by extended warranty if that is a concern.

hey bob, do you know what cause this. i never found out with the dealer guys but i was told by some other people that it couldve been when i am in reverse and about the shift into drive, instead of coming to a complete stop, i would roll back and shift into drive. i dont know though.
