rod knock is that the same thing as the clicking i get when my car is ideling especially when i first start itup in the morning?

Your issue is probably the lifters clicking WHICH may be what this one has. I wonder how the issue was diagnosed. Either way this would be a decent pickup if a person had an engine stand(which you can get at Harbor Freight for cheap). Hell find a piece of glass, clean the motor up and you have one of those cool motor tables! Hehe

Well I'd have to borrow his garage space too. I don't have any :( not to mention it'd be kinda hard for me to haul that with my GA :P

Seriously though I don't think I'll be getting it...Its fun to think about it but I don't have the money to repair/upgrade it in a reasonable amount of time :( hence why I can't have it sitting around taking up space. Nah I'll have to leave it to someone else...its not my turn yet :)

I just spent $450 for 24K NO problem engine, I don't think $150 issuch a hot deal.

BTW I got one with 100K and a good knock for $50 . Probably get that for the intake, heads for scap aluminum.

spent 400 for a 49k good to go engine, sell ym old one for 100, some idiot put 2 of the pushrods in wrong so it has a bent valve, otherwise runs fine

my car makes a clicking sound also, however it goes away after i turn the a.c up or the heat. ne ideas on how to get rid of that?
