factory replacement. you need nothing but a screw driver to get the door panel off, and well, i forget what kind of srews hold in the speakers to the housing. but the housing itself just pops out.

edit: what kind of 4x6s did you get?

yeah, just cut and splice them together with the stock wires and boom your done. oh also i'm not sure which one is + and which is - . here is a way to tell. when you take the stock speakers out, get a battery, any will do (aa, aaa, c or d cell). then strip the wires from the stock speakers. put one wire to the + on the battery, and one to the - on the battery. the cone will either move up or down. remeber which way it moved. then take the wires going to the new speaker, red and black, and put red to the + and - to the black wire. then see which way that cone moves. if they both move the same way, then your speakers will be in phase when you hook them up the same way you did to the battery. if one goes up and one goes down, then swtich the wires.

if you dont know what i'm talking about let me know. i'll find you a link.

yea that like confused the hell outta me lol, the wires that came with the speakers are solid grey, grey with black stripe and solid white and white with a black stripe. wouldnt they just match up with the wires itself?

the there are 2 terminals on the new speaker. the wire that has the bigger connecter on it, is the + the smaller one is -. i'll try to find you a link about phase.

if you hook your speaker up wrong, ie put neg to pos and pos to neg, your speakers will not be in phase. what happens is your speaker in pushing out, rather then in with the rest of the speakers. this is a way to avoid that.
