There have been some threads on the subject, so I figured I might as well make a thread about it in the Newbie Section for future reference.
SE vs. GT
EXTERIOR:
SE - Ribbed Cladding (removed 2003), GT- GT Cladding (option for SC/T hood & spoiler)
SE - Lined Tails GT- Non-lined Tails (can be cleared HERE) (http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1843)
SE - Chrome window trim, GT - Black window trim
SE - Black mirrors, GT - body matched mirrors

The later "Mickey Mouse" version side mirrors are not painted whether it is an SE or GT. - MJ

INTERIOR:
SE - speedo goes to 120 MPH, GT - speedo goes to 150 MPH

ENGINE/EXHAUST

SE - Single exhaust, GT - "dual" exhaust

SE - Stock airbox, GT - "Ram-Air" Air Intake (useless)
SE - 3.05 gear ratio, GT - 3.29 gear ratio
SE - fuel shutoff (~105/112 MPH depending on rim size), GT - fuel shutoff (~125 MPH)

ENGINE OPTIONS

SE options - (99-01)2.4L Twincam I4 150 HP (5spd, A4), 3400 V6 170 HP A4, (02-04) 2.2L Ecotec I4 150 HP (?), 3400 V6 170 HP A4
GT options - (99-05) 3400 V6 175 HP A4

SUSPENSION/BRAKES

SE - smaller sway bars, GT - thicker sway bars
SE - looser struts, GT - Tighter struts
SE - rear drum brakes, GT - rear disk brakes

OTHER

SE - Sedan only after 2002, GT - Coupe only after 2004

This thread isnt really to cover options. Unless you can't get them on the SE, which almost all options were. Only post up things that model-specific options, if you understand what i mean, thanks.

I am compiling info from around the forum for this list, please only respond to this if you have changes, found errors in posted info, or something to add to the list, thanks.

If I understand this right, the GT is only a coupe after the 2004 model? My 1995 GT is coupe. Just sayin'. Don't know if I read it out right, but I was just trying to help.

Umm...you may want to go back and read it again. ;)

Only coupes were available after 2004, NOT that GM only made coupes from 2004 and on...

, GT - Coupe only after 2004

lol Its in how you read it. It can be only a coupe after 2004, or it can be that the coupe only came after 2004. Its all in which word is stressed

I would like to know how much less space is in the backseat of a gt vs an SE. I crashed my 4 door SE and would like to upgrade to a gt but k need to be able to pack the backseat with my belongings when I move in April. My SE fits everything!

SE 4 door is the same as a GT 4 door.

^ Yup. SE and GT have the same interior volume.

Struts are the same part numbers for all SE and GT sedans and coupes. There are different brands available such as KYB, Eiback, Monroe SensaTrac.
3 different size front sway bars found all across the board depending on suspension code, 22mm, 23mm and 24mm.
2 different sizes for rear: 16mm and 18mm.
Poly bushings available online for stock Swaybars and control arms, make huge diffence over stock rubber. Though poly does tend to be a bit noisier, especially in cold weather.
Hope this helps some.
You can see your local GM dealer and have a VISS run on your vin number for a breakdown of components that your car comes equiped with, and all/any recalls.
