I searched on the forum and I read a lot of good reviews on the MSD's. But my question to you folks.....What do they do better than stock that makes everyone want them? I am guessing: a) better fuel economy b) better starts and running c) cool looking. But is there anything spectacular that I should know of? This may seem like a retarded question but I was just wondering why. Maybe if you convince me enough to get a set for myself.

I'd go with Magnecor wires though.

Read some of the articles on Magnecor's site and maybe that will help learn wire the aftermarket (not just theirs) are better.

They probably won't do anything for fuel economy and you probably won't notice any difference in starting either. What they are for is 1) they are lower resistance wires so they transmit more energy to the spark plug with less power loss and less draw on the coils and alternator, and 2) they are sheilded so they are supposed to cause less interference with the stereo and other electronics because of the magnetic field from the high current.
In reality they aren't really necessary until you make enough HP to really need ignition mods. The stock ignition system is more than adequate. Most people get them because they look cool, and they are cheap and easy to install.

not high current, high voltage
and even if a company is telling most of the truth, i dont like it when a company has to bash the competition just to promote their product, then try and confuse the public with overly complex wording and faux scientific findings to persuade everyone.
usa what you want, if it dont work, go to something else. no company is perfect
